Blog about Twitter

When comparing between a Twitter and BlackBoard discussion, there are many upfront differences. Despite being a non - twitter user, I found twitter's platform to be much easier to use compared to a BlackBoard discussion. Real time updates, the format was easy to understand, and the word limit made each response easy to read. Twitter also had a much more different atmosphere. A more lenient atmosphere makes discussions more laid back but doesn't automatically mean it can't be a serious one. Twitter also makes it possible for people to reach professionals and companies for discussion. Compared to an in-class discussion though, people are more likely to post/respond online. Being behind a screen and being able to change what you say quickly make for an easier discussion. However, in-class discussions encompass things such as facial expression and tone, which are important in communication.
