BLOG: Blog v Wiki

     When it comes to blogs vs wikis, blogs are usually a more casual environment, blog posts can go from talking about baking to more serious topics. Blogs usually contain much more opinionated content as all the blog posts themselves are written by the blog author(s). Wikis however, are a more professional, more collaborative environment. As people are allowed to write and read everyone else's written information, wikis provide a more collaborative oriented environment compared to blogs. Wikis are an information resource and although blogs can be an information source also, they often contain bias and opinions.
     Convergence in today's networking world is essential in maintaining proper information. Being able to access information from other networks is mandatory, as "Users demand high quality of service, and quality of experience robustness," said by Rouse in the "Network Convergence" article. Blogs can be used as a collaborative tool by having multiple authors run a blog with a common central idea, but each having specialized in different segments of the central idea. I think Wikis may be useful in writing coding guides or other collaborative ideas that may become more efficient with more minds working together.
